TOWN WALK

One and a half hour tour

The walk begins at the Guildhall/Tourist Information Centre at 11am and includes visits to places of historical and cultural significance in St.Ives.  The development of the town and its historical heritage are explained as the circular walk progresses.  The importance of fishing, seafaring and mining are revealed as well as the growth of tourism.  The significance of St.Ives as a centre for Modern Art is also explored.

St.Ives has a unique history and much of it can still be revealed through the standing buildings and physical remains located in the town.  Some of these remains are located in obscure places and others are seldom recognised as being of importance but this walk will inform you of the Town’s rich and varied past.

Walk Cost: £5.00 per person

Pre-booking required.
